ABOUT

The Thermodynamic Property Calculator is a computational platform developed by members of The Modelling Club, Department of Chemical Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The primary objective of this project is to provide an accessible and accurate means of obtaining thermodynamic properties of chemical compounds, using both experimental data and established thermodynamic models.

The system integrates property data sourced from the ChemSep with computational algorithms capable of estimating unknown or unreported properties. Through this integration, the tool serves as a valuable educational and research resource for chemical engineering students and professionals engaged in process design, simulation, and optimization.

HOW IT WORKS

We pair ChemSep data with thermodynamic models (Antoine, PR-EOS, heat-capacity correlations) and expose them through this UI and an API.
